Calling All Students!
-
OK, hands up. How many of you are students? And how many are wondering if you should check out DefineTO? I can tell you from my own past experience that coming out to an event like this is definitely worth your while, especially if you’re hoping to get into the marketing, communications, or advertising industries.
Last year I was in your shoes, finishing up a post-graduate certificate for public relations. I got involved with TwestivalTO and I can definitely say that it was worth it. First off, events like DefineTO attract industry professionals of all stripes (who love to mix and mingle with each other). If you’re one of the faces that they talk to during the night, it might so happen that you’ll end up getting in touch with them over a perspective job opportunity or you’ll end up working with them somewhere down the line. I know I can say that I now work alongside a great bunch of people that just so happened to attend TwestivalTO last year!Another reason you should come out is that you’ll be supporting The Remix Project: a program that supports at-risk youth in their artistic endeavours. We all need a little bit of help sometimes, so you’ll be helping out a great cause and generating some great karma for yourself. After all, what comes around goes around, right?
On top of all that, DefineTO is a great party! We’ll have amazing DJs, performances, and chances to win some awesome prizes. The cherry on top is that we’re bringing back our karaoke Twidol contest, which will be hosted by Nat and Marie. You’ll get a chance to showcase your own talent and blow us all away!
So come and join us on 4.12.12 for a night of networking and great times. And remember – Be Passionate, Be Fearless, Be Social!
Hope to see you there!
Nathan
